Stewart Filmscreen has introduced an “easy to assemble” projection screen featuring an ultra-thin black frame that creates a low-profile, “minimalist” look.
The latest addition to the company’s Balón Series, the Balón Edge boasts a svelte 0.4-inch border and can be ordered in a variety of materials, including those that are acoustically transparent, at sizes up to 16 feet wide and in any aspect ratio. Prices start at $2,913.
Two finish options are available for the screen’s border: painted bare metal or wrapped in Velux, a light-absorbing material designed to combat overscan. And because the frame is only an inch thick, it hugs the wall.
The screen is delivered rolled up in a box and packaged with instructions and all of the necessary mounting hardware, including Stewart’s EZ Mount brackets. LED lighting is available as an option.
